Few decades left such a mark on history as the sixties. Glashütte Original decided to celebrate the moonlanding, the summer of love and the Beatles with The Sixties Line. Let’s take a closer look on one of my favorites from the line.
The collection is a reflection of the era and the retro-modern touches such as the arabic fonts really adds a nice touch to the sunburst dial. The domed dial is made in Glashütte Originals own dial manufactory and is framed with a minute ring.
This Glashütte Original Sixties model comes in a rose gold case which measure 39 mm, perhaps a little bit bigger size than the watches were in the sixties but never the less a great size for a dress watch. The 39-52 automatic movement with a power reserve of 40 hours is visible through the sapphire caseback. The movement is beautiful with a great finish. To top of the look of the sixties is the matching Louisiana alligator leather strap in black.
All in all a great dress watch and a great tribute to the Sixties. Read more over at Glashütte Original by clicking here.
