The Carl F. Bucherer Patravi Scubatec: A watch like Lucerne

By  |  0 Comments

Carl F. Bucherer is closely connected to its home town and emphasizes this bond with a new variant of the Patravi ScubaTec. The successful diving watch showcases a color combination that reflects the city of Lucerne – the striking case gleams in warm 18-karat red gold, the dial in vibrant Lucerne blue.

Vivid blue, just like Lake Lucerne on a beautiful summer’s day. Blue is also the main color on Lucerne’s municipal coat. It is a perfect color for the dial of a watch by Carl F. Bucherer – the traditional Lucerne brand proud of its roots in the heart of Switzerland. A city shaped by Baroque influences, Lucerne is also characterized by gold, just like Carl F. Bucherer. The luxury watchmaker’s new visual identity launched last year features minimalist gold elements and is a tribute to the brand’s home town as well as its proud Baroque heritage.

A timepiece for divers

Consequently, cases made from precious gold are a characteristic specialty for Carl F. Bucherer. This is also true for striking and sporty timepieces such as the Patravi ScubaTec diving watch, first showcased in 2015. It is ideally suited as a diving instrument thanks to its proven water-resistance to a depth of 500 meters, its automatic helium outlet valve and its crown protection in blackened titanium. The timepiece features the precise CFB 1950.1 automatic movement caliber, chronometer-certified due to its high accuracy. Moreover, a robust rubber strap – and an integrated diving extension on the finely adjustable folding clasp – make the Patravi ScubaTec the perfect companion for exploring the fascinating underwater world.

Style for sporty men

Either on or under the water, the new blue dial truly comes into its own; Carl F. Bucherer specially developed its color to reflect the blue of Lucerne’s municipal. It provides an attractive contrast to the luminous material of the distinctive hands and applied indices that harmonize perfectly with the warm red gold of the case and the rotating bezel. This diving ring, which can only be turned counterclockwise in line with the requirements for true diving watches, not only highlights the practical functionality of the watch, but also complements the overall design. Inlays made from black and blue ceramic make the rotating bezel a real eye-catcher.
